Emme Pagelsen has many diverse, well-rounded interests both in school and outside of Ascension. She is a member of National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National History Honor Society, and is the secretary of BETA, demonstrating her academic achievements. She is also a member of the SMP choir and decided to pursue a new interest—playing drums for Gator Rock. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her friends, and dancing. Emme’s passion for ballet is well-known by anyone that knows her, and she has been dancing since she was four years old. She has the honor of being a Youth Acadiana Dance Ambassador, which allows her to help the entire dance community and work with other dancers in the area to ensure that dance will remain a critical part of Acadiana. She said, “Ballet has been a major part of my life since I was little and I can’t imagine my life without it.” Emme wanted to end our interview with some advice for the underclassmen, saying, “Be a part of everything and attend as many events as possible, because your high school experience will be over way sooner than you expect.”
