On Friday April 26 the baseball team is playoff bound against Mangham High School. With their existing season, the team had a winning record of 15-13, and the team has earned the privilege to play in the LHSAA state playoffs.

With this great year the Blue Gators have four seniors on the team: Cody Chalmers, Dusty Chalmers, Heath Headley, and Parker Parra. Heath says that it is “Exciting” to be making the playoffs for his senior year.

“I have worked hard with my team mates for three years to be able to reach the playoffs,” said Heath.  “I don’t expect Mangham to think too much about us, but I expect to surprise them in a close game that could go either way.”

In the power rankings AES is ranked 28th and Mangham is 5th. Even though it seems like Mangham is so much higher, the guys have hung with every team that has been ranked higher all season long.  Heath says he predicts that the Blue Gators will win the game 6-4. Go Gators!
