Elliot Lynd has been at Ascension for most of his life, and he has accomplished great things in both swimming and leadership during that time. He has been a class leader for 4 years at SMP, and this includes planning pep rallies, dances, and other school events. When asked about his favorite part of being a class leader, Elliot said, “I like working with a group of other class leaders to accomplish a goal like planning a dance, pep rally, or homecoming weekday.” As well as planning school events, he runs the Good Morning Ascension field reports and has hosted many GMAs. Elliot is also very involved in swimming. He started swimming in 6th grade for COLA (City of Lafayette Aquatics) and Ascension. His greatest swim accomplishments include winning district for the 500 freestyle twice, and being on the boys’ state team that placed 3rd in 2020. Elliot said, “Swimming for the past few years was so much fun and I am really going to miss competing with the team.”
