Senior Spotlight: Madison Heydari

Full Name: Madison Adele Heydari

Grade you started at Ascension: Pre k 3

Favorite Teacher: Coach Jill because she cares about my wellbeing and we give each other hugs when we’re having a bad day. She’s also one of the only people that hasn’t underestimated me.

Favorite Ascension Memory:  When I was sitting in geometry and Ian screamed, “DON’T F****** STAB ME BRY!” Turns out Ian threw a book at Bry so Bry stabbed him with a key.

Plans After high school: I think I’m going to LSU. I either want to study sociology or psychology. I’m indecisive though so I’ll probably change it like 7 times. I want to work in social media.

What is something most people do not know about you? I played piano for 9 years and competed and stuff and the only song I remember how to play is Mary had a little lamb… it was the first song I learned.

What is something you feel is commonly misunderstood about you? Contrary to popular belief, I like my crocs and I don’t wear them as a joke

What is some advice you would give to the underclassmen? Checking out of school is better than checking in. Avoid those tardies

What is something you would change about Ascension? The school is missing something. Oh, I know!! It’s missing a Paul Quick.

Favorite quote: One time I said “Korean math doesn’t exist because math is a universal language” and Oliver said, “Yeah well water is the universal solvent of life but you can still make kool-aid.” This was two years ago and I’m still trying to make sense of it.

What’s your favorite book of all time and why? Favorite book was One of Us is Lying because I really like murder mysteries.

What’s on your bucket list this year? I guess to stop procrastinating. I’ve been meaning to make a bucket list for years but I’ve been putting it off for so long.

Just something else you’d like to say if ya want: Big chungus
