All is fair in love and poetry! Taylor Swift has just announced a new album! This album, entitled The Tortured Poets Department, is set to release on April 19, 2024, and swifties around the world are ecstatic!
Taylor, the self-proclaimed chairman of the Tortured Poets Department, announced the album while winning her 13th Grammy, saying it had been in the works for the past 2 years. This new collection of tracks will include 16 songs including a 17th bonus one entitled “The Manuscript.” It will feature fellow artists Post Malone and Florence + The Machine on the songs “Fortnight” and “Florida!!!”
The release date of this album was deliberately selected, seeing that April is National Poetry Month as well as April 19 being National Cat Lady Day (and we all know Taylor loves her cats). April 19 also marks The American Revolution’s first battle in Lexington and Concord, but it is possible that it may be entirely unrelated.
This eleventh album is set to be another work of artistry and emotion, poised showcasing Taylor’s artistry and tragic lyrics. Swifties worldwide eagerly await the album’s release, ready to embark on a musical journey through Taylor’s world of tortured poets. It promises to break hearts come April 19, as it weaves between the art of love and poetry.
