The Thanksgiving Feast is a beloved annual tradition that takes place at all three of the Ascension campuses. This year, students were allowed an out-of-uniform day and were encouraged to dress in their Sunday best in order to commemorate the event. The generous PTO parents set up the gym with tables filled with many Thanksgiving decorations as well as plates, napkins, and utensils for students to sit around. During lunchtime, students lined up to get their food from the buffet which consisted of salad, green beans, mashed potatoes, rice dressing, mac and cheese, turkey, rolls, water, and cookies for dessert. Students got to eat together for around an hour while they conversed about what they were thankful for in light of the Thanksgiving season. This event not only exercises Ascension’s core values of generosity and kindness, it also promotes a community-building atmosphere for every grade level at Ascension. The feast is something that Ascension students look forward to every year, and it is something that we are so grateful to be able to enjoy! We would like to extend a huge thank you to the PTO and any of the other parents and faculty members who were a part of this event!!

Hey y'all! My name is CC, and I am a junior this year. This is my second year in journalism and I'm so excited to continue writing and creating the yearbook. So far at Ascension, I've been involved in volleyball and cheer. My favorite thing about Ascension is how nice all of the students and teachers are. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends, cheering, and shopping. I’m so excited to be returning to journalism and I can't wait to see what this year has in store!!
