Senior year is one of the most fun and memorable years of high school. Here are some things people do not tell you about senior year.
- Your class becomes so much closer and more fun your senior year. Since it’s your last year, everyone seems to get along better.
- Your senior year is hard because you do not have as much energy but are still expected to do a lot of work.
- The work academically is not as hard to understand as junior year, but there is more information you have to memorize for your senior classes.
- Colleges take a while to apply to, depending on the place. Some take two seconds, while others take 2 hours.
- You need to keep a resume of all you do throughout high school to better help you during college app season because colleges ask you what you have accomplished through high school, and it is hard to remember everything.
- Scholarships take a long time to apply for, so I would recommend starting during the summer before your senior year.
- Do everything you plan to do extracurricular-wise, course schedule, and ACT prep before senior year because senior year can be a lot.
- Remember to have fun. It is your last year at Ascension; don’t try to grow up so quickly.
- Live every day with no regrets. Try everything you can at high school because you might regret it one day.
- Do not stress about college. Take time to be a kid and enjoy your year.
- What people do not tell you is how loaded the question, “Where are you going to college?” is, especially when you have no idea where you want to go.
