The Authored Ascension will be holding a mock presidential election next week on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Election will be preceded by a policy presentation featuring student spokespersons from both camps. Frances Brumley will represent the Democratic party, and Michael Dalman will represent the Republican party.

Voting will take place during advisory on Tuesday using m.socrative.com on the iPads. Each grade will be assigned to a different Socrative room, and the voting will be completely anonymous. Each grade will be assigned a number of points based on student population for a mock Electoral College, similar to the way states are given Electoral College points based on population.

Teachers are also invited to vote with their advisories. Teachers, administrators, and staff who are not part of an advisory are asked to vote with the seniors.
