Next Monday and Tuesday, all students in grades 8th-11th will participate in a two-day “Course Sneak Peek”. During advisory and chapel times on these days, students will meet with teachers in each department to learn about their course options for next year.
“Lots of students especially upper-classmen have questions about which course may be right for them,” said Ms. Fournet. “This will give students a chance to ask questions, find out the scope and the expectations for each option, and have time to think about their choices before we actually schedule.”
Like last year, schedule request forms will be distributed in advisory later this month with the scheduling process extending into April.
According to Dr. Pitre, a list of electives will be on the course request forms, and students will choose their three top favorites.
“Because we are good guys, we try to make sure that the electives students really want are the ones we offer,” said Dr. Pitre. “There are more electives than we could ever offer in one year, so we let the students give us a sense of preference”.
