Pasta. Peanut Butter. Popcorn. Chicken noodle soup. Macaroni.
These are some items that students can bring to school to help others. The AES student body has sponsored a Thanksgiving food drive for the last three years to benefit Youngsville families in need, and all students and faculty are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items.
There will be boxes placed in each advisory for the students to drop off their canned goods and food items through Wednesday, November 16. The food drive takes on a form of a competition between advisories, and whichever advisory raises the food items wins a pizza prize.
“Students have always stepped up in the past. I’m hopeful they will again this year,” said Mrs Arabie.
