On April 11, for the first time, the Spring Concert will be held outside, under the pavilion. This year’s performance promises a refreshing twist on tradition, blending music, nature, and the energy of a hardworking music department. Not only does it offer a unique atmosphere, but it also allows for more space, a relaxed environment, and (hopefully) great spring weather. Students have been rehearsing daily, putting in hours of dedication and passion to prepare a diverse setlist that spans genres and moods. Every piece has been fine-tuned with relentless dedication from the students.
This also marks a pretty cool moment for me as it is my first time playing an instrument. I will be playing the bass guitar on “Scott Pilgrim vs. My GPA” as will my buddy Hudson Campbell. Gavin Stewart will sing and play the electric guitar and Andre Fontenot will play the acoustic guitar. Noah Trawick, a first time player, will be playing the trumpet with Isabel Acevedo.
With so many talented performers, a fresh venue, and an electric atmosphere, this year’s Spring Concert is shaping up to be something truly special.
