The night of Thursday March 27 was a night to honor the seniors of the Blue Gator tennis team. Unfortunately, the original opponents of Lafayette High had to cancel prior to match day, leaving us with an empty evening. Even so, the tennis team came up with a great solution to maintain such a ceremonious and important night. The team decided to invite the players’ family members to come out and play with the players in short, fun matches. The evening started right at six o’clock when everyone showed up to find the courts well decorated and an area where people can watch, as well as to eat, and hang out. Players and families were out until sundown, hitting and having a wonderful time experiencing something so unique. This was a very memorable moment especially for the seniors, and I hope that this becomes a yearly tradition.

My name is Charlie Bradley, and I am a senior at Ascension. I have been attending Ascension since the second grade after moving from Chicago, Illinois to Lafayette, Louisiana. I have been enjoying this school and its community ever since I arrived. I play soccer and tennis, and I like to workout in my free time. I love Ascension because it has such an inclusive environment and keeps the school activities fun. I am very excited to play my favorite sports and be able to document them down to put on Authored Ascension.
