In my last article, I specifically talked about my experience in Capstone, and in this article, I will talk about my experience as a junior, in general. I was prepared for my AP classes in terms of having taken two as a sophomore, so I decided to take three as a junior, retake an exam in one of my classes from last year, as well as taking a Dual Enrollment. I participate in cross country, soccer, track and field, and go to the gym as much as I can. This means I have a lot on my plate in terms of academics and sports, and it also does not help that I live forty to fifty minutes away from school, meaning I do not have a lot of free time in a week. This year has been easy to handle at first, but as the school year progresses and the workload increases, I am trying harder to manage my time and prepare for my exams, tests, projects, or quizzes that are around every corner. Along with workload picking up, I am just coming back from an injury I had during soccer season and trying my best to get better so I am able to participate in track meets without rushing recovery. Overall, this year has been pretty stressful so far, but I am making an attempt to start slowing down and completing one thing at a time, and eventually, when I reach exams, I will be prepared. My advice to upcoming juniors is to trust yourself and when in doubt, stay calm and take a break if you need to!

Amelia Cleveland, Staff Writer
I’m Amelia Cleveland, and I will be a junior this year. At Ascension, I am playing soccer while also running on the track and field team and cross country team. Outside of school, I spend my time hanging out with my friends or just relaxing at home. I enjoy reading and writing, and I can’t wait to be part of the journalism team this year!
