Let the Mardi Gras festivities begin! This past weekend, on February 22 was the Rio parade! The Rio parade goes all through downtown. Unfortunately, it was a stormy day, but everyone had so much fun. Julia Elis says, “I had so much fun, but the rain made it so cold that I couldn’t stay there for long. I still had a great time!” Charlie Bradly also had the same experience as Julia Elis. Sarah Camel had the best experience out of everyone! She said, “Rio was a great night, and I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. I just missed one of my best friends, Layne Simon, because she couldn’t make it to be with us.” Overall, it seems the rain was the only downside of the Rio parade, and we can’t wait for the rest of the parades to come!
