Two weeks ago, Ascension’s competition cheer team traveled to Orlando, Florida for UCA Nationals! We had been working so hard since June, and we attended two regional competitions in preparation. Our Medium Varsity Non-Tumbling Gameday division was one of the biggest in the NHSCC, and we competed against over 80 teams. The team’s main goal was to advance to finals and to bring up our scores for each round, which we did! On the days when we weren’t competing, we got to go to Disney, which is always so fun! We were able to go to multiple parks and ride so many fun rides. This is my favorite part of the trip because of the fun memories and bonds that I get to make with my team. I am so grateful for my experience with competition this year, and I am already excited for next season!
