They did it! For the first time in Ascension Blue Gator history, the boys soccer team is heading to State, after a huge win over #3 Northlake Christian on Friday, defeating the Wolverines, 4-0! After a frustrating first half, ending in 0-0, the Blue Gators took on the pitch in the last 40 minutes and decided to finish the match. With goals pouring in and the wall of a defense becoming more prominent, Northlake was ready to accept defeat. The boys, including the fans, were ecstatic about the victory, storming the field and celebrating with the boys after an amazing feat. After a weekend of well-earned celebration, the boys are back to work to finish the final chapter of a once-in-a-lifetime story. The Blue Gators will travel to Hammond to play at Southeastern Louisiana University’s Strawberry Field against #1 Isidore Newman at 5pm tomorrow night. Make sure to come support!

Charlie Bradley, Staff Writer
My name is Charlie Bradley, and I am a senior at Ascension. I have been attending Ascension since the second grade after moving from Chicago, Illinois to Lafayette, Louisiana. I have been enjoying this school and its community ever since I arrived. I play soccer and tennis, and I like to workout in my free time. I love Ascension because it has such an inclusive environment and keeps the school activities fun. I am very excited to play my favorite sports and be able to document them down to put on Authored Ascension.
