More history was made from the Boys Blue Gator Soccer team. For the first time, they are district champions! Earlier this week, the boys traveled to Vermillion Catholic and took on the Eagles to finalize their chances to lead the district. Overall, the boys felt good about their chances, but had to remain humble to ensure the victory. With eagerness and a sense of vengeance, the boys entered the pitch and were ready to win. Early on, the Eagles lead with a singular goal, letting the boys know that they were going to need to work hard to get what they want. The Gators were eventually able to get to their usual style of play and get the game rolling. The game was then tied thanks to a Hayes Trotter penalty kick. This goal was able to push the boys to continue with excellent momentum. As the game progressed, the score came to 4-2, and the boys were ready to take home the trophy, finishing the regular season 14-3-2, and taking the number 2 spot in the division.

My name is Charlie Bradley, and I am a senior at Ascension. I have been attending Ascension since the second grade after moving from Chicago, Illinois to Lafayette, Louisiana. I have been enjoying this school and its community ever since I arrived. I play soccer and tennis, and I like to workout in my free time. I love Ascension because it has such an inclusive environment and keeps the school activities fun. I am very excited to play my favorite sports and be able to document them down to put on Authored Ascension.
