Senior Spotlight: Marley Abshire

Name: Marley Abshire 

Grade Started at Ascension: 8th

Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Futch 

Favorite Ascension Memory: Our Sophomore trip to Houston and Galveston 

Future Plans: I am undecided on a college but plan to go out of state to major in biology for Pre-Med.

Marley participates in Softball, SADD, National Beta Club, NEHS, Alpha Mu Theta, SNHS, and Rho Kappa Social Studies Honors Society. She loves to hang out with her friends and family, cook, and read. Marley’s favorite thing about Ascension is how close everyone is and the available opportunities. Marley would describe herself as courageous, bubbly, and kind-hearted. One fun fact about Marley is that she is a national champion in the 2024 Hot Springs Softball Invitational! Lastly, Marley would tell the younger students at Ascension that no matter how big your dreams are, they are never out of reach if you have dedication and put in the work!

Hey guys! My name is Julia Ellis, and I am a senior at Ascension! This will be my first year in Journalism, and my fourth year at Ascension. I have my heart set on Ole Miss for college, and getting to start a whole new period of my life. Hotty Toddy! I have been a part of many clubs and sports since I have been here such as the SADD club, cheerleading, and swimming! Some of my favorite things to do when I'm not at school are traveling, art, and cooking. I truly enjoy being a part of this community and getting to experience all Ascension has to offer! I am so excited that I get to be a part of Journalism class and learn new things!!
