Senior Spotlight: Cole Pesson

Name: Cole Pesson 

Grade started: 4th

Favorite teacher: Mrs. Hall

Favorite Ascension memory: The Great Wolf Lodge field trip.

Future plans: To punt and kick in college and major in accounting or business 

Cole is very excited to be a senior this year! He is the kicker for our varsity football team, and he is also in the Fitness Club. He started kicking for Ascension football 8 years ago as a 5th grader and hopes to continue as a kicker in college. Cole enjoys hanging out with friends and family in his free time and describes himself as generous, hardworking, and kind. He also loves being a student at Ascension because the teachers here are so helpful and nice. Finally, a piece of advice Cole would like to pass on to younger students is to start working out as soon as possible because the four years of high school go by much quicker than you expect.

Hey guys! My name is Martha, and I am a junior this year. I’m a member of the girls' soccer team at Ascension and have a passion for the arts. I participate in many of our school's plays, musicals, and concerts. Outside of school, I train in classical ballet at The Ballet Studio (but coach McCullough thinks I dance for the Russians). I love to write and am so excited to be a part of journalism again this year!
