Bear Boudreaux is an 8th Grader at Ascension Episcopal School. He has been going to Ascension since Pre-K4, and he says he has really enjoyed all his years at the school. Bear describes his first month at AES’s high school campus:
“My school year so far has been great. I already like it so much more than the downtown campus. I feel that we have more freedom than we did before. Also, it’s nice not having little first graders sprinting in the halls and screaming while you are taking a test. I enjoy my classes, and I like all of my teachers. I especially like P.E. because it’s really free and fun. I also enjoy eating my lunch more because we used to be in a cafeteria, but now we get to go outside in the nice weather. At the downtown campus we started school at 7:30 and now we start at 8 so I get a little more time to sleep in and enjoy my morning. Each of my classes have a bunch of my friends in them so I get to talk to them a lot more than last year. In the halls, one of the Prefects chooses music that plays in the halls. This is nice because instead of just hearing everyone talking, you hear music. So far, my school year has been great”.
Bear includes that two of his three older siblings go to the same school, and he already feels welcome at the high school. He also said that he is excited for the rest of his years at the campus.
