Favorite Ascension memory: Getting caught spinning on the stools in the DNA lab at UL for dual enrollment biology

Future plans: Major in biology to pursue a career in dermatology 

In her senior year, Josie Bourgeois is very involved at Ascension. She takes part in extracurricular activities and clubs such as the Ascension Cheer Team, HOSA Club, and she is currently president of the National English Honor Society. Josie’s favorite thing about Ascension is how the school’s curriculum enables students to pursue their interests, no matter what they may be. Outside of school, she enjoys dancing, hanging out with friends, and tanning in her free time. Josie would describe herself as outgoing, friendly, and hard-working, and a fun fact about her is that she is a three-time All-American Cheerleader. Finally, a piece of advice Josie would give to younger students is to just be yourself and make sure not to get too caught up in the stress of high school because you should be able to enjoy it while it lasts.
