Senior Spotlight: Maggie Nassar

Name: Maggie Nassar

Grade started: Pre-K 4

Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Futch and Coach Trotter

Favorite Ascension Memory: Doing the Baylor Challenge Course with Coach McCullough. 

Future plans: majoring in Biomedical Engineering at the University of South Carolina

Maggie has been involved in many different activities while at Ascension. She is a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, Rho Kappa, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Science Honor Society. She serves as the BETA Club Secretary. In her free time she loves to watch movies, travel, and attend concerts. Her favorite thing about Ascension is the school spirit! She would describe herself as loyal, genuine, and eccentric. A fun fact about Maggie that you probably didn’t know is that she has perfect pitch. Her advice to younger classmen is to start your work early.

Hey everyone! My name is Caroline Ortemond. I am the Chief and Editor of Journalism this year. I have been in Journalism for three years, and I absolutely love it! This is going to be my last year in Journalism, so I am going to try my hardest to make it the best year ever. I play basketball and track, and I am the president of the Speech and Debate Team. My favorite thing about Ascension is the welcoming environment that makes everyone feel like they're a part of one big happy family.
