Cameron Foret
10th Grade
Soccer and Basketball
______________________________________________________________________
Cameron Foret is a sophomore at Ascension. He competes in soccer, and he used to play basketball. In soccer, Foret is highly decorated, being selected to join Louisiana TDP in the MIC tournament in Barcelona, Spain. He was also selected to play in the ODP regionals. Furthermore, Cam plays up a year in travel soccer, but regardless of this fact, he helped lead his travel team to a state victory and a trip to regionals. As far as school sports go, Foret has played for the Gators for two years, most recently making it to the semi-finals. As far as basketball goes, he is very proud of his MVP award for the 8th grade B team. However, Cam isn’t always in sports and enjoys building legos and hanging out with his friends in his free time. Lastly, Cam would like to thank his favorite coach, Coach Joan. Along with his aspirations to play college soccer, Foret is inspired by Coach Joan because he gives him good advice: “Don’t think just play.” Cam uses this insight to help himself play better when he starts overthinking. This is a quote that we can all learn from in life because oftentimes, we can start to overthink things in life, rather than just having fun.
