On February 2, the girls’ soccer team headed to round 1 of the playoffs. Our game was all the way in Slidell. We headed there to play the #7 team, Pope John Paul. We left school around 1 o’clock. It was a three-hour drive to Slidell. We got there around 4:40-ish and got ready to warm up by 5. The weather was perfect for our last game. It was not too hot, and the sun was out so it felt amazing. The game started at 6. We fought through the entire game and did much better than we expected we would do. We made it through the whole game without getting mercy ruled and stopped them from scoring a countless amount of times. They were taking a numerous amount of shots and were having a very hard time scoring in the first half. Once we got to the second half and switched sides, they were able to score more goals on us. We had accepted that we were not going to win, so we just played our hearts out and had fun. It was a very sad night for the seniors, as well as the team. Even though we fought through the whole game, there was no way we could possibly win, but we still fought through it and just had fun with it. Once the game was over, the parents had picked up Chick-fil-A for us, and we headed back home on the bus. It was a sad night for everyone, but it will never be forgotten.

Hi everyone! My name is Reagan Adania, and I am a senior here at Ascension. I have been at Ascension since Pre-K, and this is my first year in journalism. I am beyond thrilled to try something new and work with these amazing people. I have been on the cheer team for five years, and the competition team for the last two years. I am also on the soccer and tennis teams. Throughout my time at Ascension, I have also participated in softball, track, and volleyball. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, hanging out with friends, shopping, cheering, and playing soccer. My future plans are to major in kinesiology or nutrition at Mississippi College or Spring Hill College.
