Over the last weekend of Christmas Break, we play in a soccer tournament that we make sure to take part in every year. It was the Saturday before we came back to school. On that Saturday morning, we woke up early and had to be at Moore Park ready to warm up by 8:30 AM for our first game of the day. We played our first game against Sulphur. It was very cloudy and cold, but we managed to play hard and fought through the whole game. After this game, we had a long break until our next game, and we did not need to be back to warm up again until 1:30 to play Acadiana. We all went to Jason’s Deli between our games. It helped energize us for our mid-afternoon game. After our very nutritious meal, we headed back to Moore Park and hung out and relaxed for about 10-15 minutes to let our food settle. We then warmed up, but just very lightly, since we were tired and had already fought through a hard game that morning. We then headed to the field to play Acadiana. The sun had finally come out, so it wasn’t too cold, and it was a good and enjoyable game. We played extremely well in this game, fought, and gave it our all throughout the whole entire game. We had a very good outcome at this tournament. We left the tournament feeling accomplished and ready to just go to practice and keep growing throughout the rest of the season. With an early morning game and afternoon game, we were back home by 4:30 and were able to rest after a very successful and long day of soccer.

Hi everyone! My name is Reagan Adania, and I am a senior here at Ascension. I have been at Ascension since Pre-K, and this is my first year in journalism. I am beyond thrilled to try something new and work with these amazing people. I have been on the cheer team for five years, and the competition team for the last two years. I am also on the soccer and tennis teams. Throughout my time at Ascension, I have also participated in softball, track, and volleyball. Outside of school, I enjoy working out, hanging out with friends, shopping, cheering, and playing soccer. My future plans are to major in kinesiology or nutrition at Mississippi College or Spring Hill College.
