In Alex Mahfouz’s 8 years at Ascension, he has played football for 2 of those years. Alex has been playing soccer for 12 years, and he’s a player on the Ascension soccer team. He is involved in the Chess Club at Ascension with some of his peers. Alex is a member of the National English, History, and Science Honor Societies. Alexs says this about Ascension: “I love the friendly atmosphere between the teachers and students. Also, I like how we have multiple clubs and electives to choose from.”
In Alex’s free time, he enjoys reading books, hanging out with friends, working out, listening to music, and playing Madden. He would describe himself as an energetic and friendly person. A fun fact about Alex is, he used to run track, and he can do a pistol squat.
Alex Mahfouz’s advice for all underclassmen would be, “always work hard for what you want.”
