Every year, Ascension hosts a Senior lock-in and sunrise for our Blue Gator seniors. We started off the night with a blessing for the food that Mr. Vic had prepared for us. He made us cheeseburgers, and we also had snacks. After that, students played games like basketball or spike ball for a while. When ten minutes had passed, our grade was split up into two teams, warm colors vs. cool colors, for an ultimate Steal The Bacon contest. My team won, of course. Soon after the rounds of Steal The Bacon, we played dodgeball. Then we played the Couch Game, and the girls won, of course. The girls became really tired, so we played charades. Then, around midnight, the boys went into the gym to hit the hay, and the girls went to the commons. I fell asleep very quickly, while others stayed up till 4 AM. Then, at 6, we all woke up, ate doughnuts, and watched the sunrise. Overall, we had a blast, and I loved being a kid with my grade again.

Caroline Ortemond, Editor-in-Chief
Hey everyone! My name is Caroline Ortemond. I am the Chief and Editor of Journalism this year. I have been in Journalism for three years, and I absolutely love it! This is going to be my last year in Journalism, so I am going to try my hardest to make it the best year ever. I play basketball and track, and I am the president of the Speech and Debate Team. My favorite thing about Ascension is the welcoming environment that makes everyone feel like they're a part of one big happy family.
