The 2021-2022 Volleyball Season
As the 2021-2022 volleyball season came to an end, the team had an amazing year under the new coach, Celie Ulm. At the beginning of the season, the team was nervous to see how the year would turn out. We got into the groove of things, but practices and tryouts were run differently from last year. It was systematic. Every practice, we had warm-ups, skill practice, and competitions. However, the biggest difference we had was morning workouts at 6:30.
The team was a bit rocky at the beginning, but it started to get easier playing together as time went on. We formed friendships and enjoyed playing as a team. Throughout the season, we had some big wins such as Catholic High, LCA, Ruston High, Sulphur, Dunham, and St. Amant. At State, we beat Sacred Heart of New Orleans in the quarterfinals. This was an accomplishment for us since we lost to them last year at State. However, we fell short to LCA in the semis. We finished off the season with a 31-9 record.
We will cap off the amazing season with a Christmas party. We plan to take part in activities as a team as the year goes on.
